Maui and Sons started with a cookie

In 1980, three young surfers from Southern California were trying to decide what to do with the rest of their lives. They decided to start a cookie company named Maui’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. Their little business venture didn’t last long. When they burnt their first batch of cookies, they turned their attention to designing fashions for surfing and active sports. Maui and Sons became an instant hit!

Maui and Sons designs, produces, licenses and distributes clothing, accessories and related products for the Surf culture while Inspiring a fun California Lifestyle with a mix of Aloha! Maui and Sons authentic brand is evident in its innovative products, events and the retail environments it sells to across the globe.

In early 2010 Maui and Sons sought an online brand consultant that could deliver turnkey solutions for all of its online and offline marketing. The company needed a new website, online store and marketing collateral materials to be used by all departments. They also needed an online store development strategy that would not conflict or compete with their existing online retailers. We photographed all their look-books, and licensee marketing materials. We also got them up to speed with their social media efforts including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We set up the creative for email marketing campaigns and trade show announcements for their sales teams.
